At least this runs to just a few paragraphs. I was raised in a small village in the middle of Essex, England. I combined an unremarkable school career with the usual childhood things. I built Airfix Spitfires and Stukas which I shot up with my airgun. I fell out of trees and off of bikes which hurt a lot. I got crappy reports from school which I ignored. Thanks for that Chris It was a bit complicated to do as there was a 4 stop difference between the peaks and the shadows. With a spot meter probably there was a 5-6 stop range between the brightest highlights and the darkest shadows. I shot with a 3 stop grad ND and bracketed. I then took the shot with the best foreground and added the peaks from a darker exposure. I bit of fooling around in Photoshop to restore the dynamic range that was there in the scene, but a nice result, worth the cold fingers, toes, etc. Colin

I really love this photo! The waterfall in the dark shadow was a perfect effect. Highlighted with the Himalayan range in the back is very well done.
